Dillon Donati, a contract vegetation program manager at ACRT Pacific, recently received a G.E.M. Award for his significant performance in safety. He was nominated by ACRT Pacific Operations Manager Raul Perez.
Donati and a utility vegetation management inspector were traveling to review a quality control location when they made a pit stop at a local store. Donati noticed a vehicle parked across three spaces and after exiting the store, the vehicle was still in the same location.
Perez shared that after walking near the vehicle, Donati noticed the driver of the vehicle was hunched over with their mouth open. Donati had concerns for the driver’s safety and attempted to make contact. The driver was not responsive, so Donati and his counterpart called 911, moved the driver in a position to open their airway and found the driver to have labored breathing and a pulse. The two stayed with the unresponsive driver until the local emergency services arrived.
