Chuck Ritter Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Safety

Chuck Ritter Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Safety

ACRT Pacific is proud to recognize Chuck Ritter, Senior Vegetation Management Inspector, receiving a Safety Challenge Coin in recognition of his quick thinking and response during a potential safety incident.

Chuck was nominated by Russell Park, Vegetation Management Inspector, for demonstrating outstanding initiative and professionalism in a situation where his responsiveness helped prevent additional danger and property damage.

On March 18, 2026, while driving through southern El Dorado County, Chuck noticed smoke ahead and discovered a fire at a nearby residence. After attempting to alert the homeowners, he notified nearby neighbors and immediately called 911.

While speaking with the dispatcher, Chuck retrieved a water backpack sprayer from his truck and began extinguishing the flames. By the time the El Dorado County Fire Department arrived approximately six minutes later, he had already contained most of the fire. Firefighters later determined that an unattended burn pile had escaped containment and ignited a nearby fence.

Chuck remained on scene to provide incident details to responding firefighters. His awareness, preparedness, and willingness to act helped prevent the fire from spreading and potentially causing greater damage.

Congratulations to Chuck Ritter on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for demonstrating the commitment to safety, service, and professionalism that defines ACRT Pacific.
